The Jormungandr was one of the first transports available to the Space Corps, being created mainly for short-distance missions. Its creation date is in some year between Image Fight and Image Fight II. It is estimated to be between 140-150 meters long, 60 meters tall and 65 meters wide at its widest point. It can dock two squadrons of units and has a decoy function, making it useful in recon or static-target missions as well as short range sieges. During the initial Bydo conflict, the Jormungandr proved itself a great asset in transporting units and providing cover fire.
Appearances[]
A few Jormungandrs are seen throughout the RType Final II campaign, starting with a crashed vessel just inside the Abandoned Space City (Stage 1.0). An infected Jormungandr appears halfway through the mission, registered as enemy #11, Decayed Transport Vessel, from which a large pack of adolescent Gougers attack from.
The UFCS-05 Jormungandr is a small unit transport. It is relatively lightly armed and is normally only preferred on small maps, due to its rectangular layout. Though minimally armed, it can be a vital repair unit or to scout, to find possible enemy fortifications. It is capable of creating a decoy of itself.

- Jormungandr is the World Serpent in Norse mythology, surrounding the Earth. Like Ouroboros, Jormungandr has a grip on its own tail and the world is prophesied to end should it let go.
