R-Types (アール・タイプス Āru taipusu), released on both the PlayStation and PlayStation Network as a downloadable program, is a compilation of R-Type and R-Type II. Extra content in the form of an introduction movie and several bonuses, such as a bestiary, timeline, and R-series history, all under a R Museum section. This would pave the way for similar materials in future games, especially in R-Type Final. The games themselves are identical to their Arcade originals.
