About R-Type

R-Type is a science-fiction horizontal-scrolling shooter video game franchise developed and published by Irem for arcade systems and home game platforms. The first entry in the series, R-Type, was released in 1987, and it was followed by several sequels for other platforms.

The Kickstarter for R-Type Final2 is now live!
The crowdfunding campaign for R-Type Final2 will open on July 3 worldwide! The game will also receive versions for Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC!
R-Type Final2 has been announced for the PlayStation 4!
