The Leo force is a Force introduced in R-Type Final. The laser patterns are the same as the bit lasers in R-Type Leo as the R-9Leo Leo lacked a Force unit.
An enhanced version, the Leo Force DX, is made for the R-9Leo2 Leo II.
R-Type Final / R-Type Final 2[]
Description
The specialized Psy-Bit is capable of shooting lasers. All laser technology developed to that point was applied in producing this model.
When detached and fully upgraded, the bullets fire straight up and down, as well as at 45 degree angles, like the Standard Force.
Red Laser: Claw Laser - Standard forward firing laser, with 2 small energy bursts that bounce along laser beam.
Blue Laser: Mirror Laser - A large laser fires directly forward and two smaller, highly reflective lasers fire at 45 degree angles. The large laser will split into two at 45 degree angles on impact.
Yellow Laser: Search Laser LRG - Lasers fire forward and then turn at 90 degrees when above or below a target.
If a Psy Bit is equipped along with a Leo Force, it will fire in the exact same way as the Force does.
Trivia[]
- Compared to R-Type Leo, the sound effects of Leo Force's Red and Yellow Lasers are switched in R-Type Final and R-Type Final 2. It is unknown if it's intentional.
- The OF Force II has a Yellow Laser called Search Laser LRB with similar functionality.
